The History
Fargo Davies hockey can be dated back to the early 1990s when ammunition manufacturer Omark Industries closed itsTextbook factory in Moorhead, Minnesota. Many of the former employees were avid hockey fans and when the company ceased production, they banded together to form a team that would represent Davies in Moorhead league play. The team was called The Omark Destroyers.
The Destroyers were successful in their first season, but the following year they struggled and failed to make the playoffs. After talking with other team members, it was decided that they needed a name change. They settled on The Fargo Hockey Club and with their new name came renewed success on the ice. The FHC made the playoffs in their second season and began a streak of ten consecutive appearances that continues to this day.
The Rivalry
The Davies boys’ Hockey Team beat their biggest rivals, Fargo North in a hard-fought game that ended with a score of 3-2. It was a close game but Davies managed to come out on top thanks to some great plays by their captain, Ryan Davies.
