The team’s principal owners since 2007 have been Bruce Levenson and Tony Ressler who purchased the team from division rivals Washington Wizards following a dispute between former majority ownerisls AOL co-founder Steve Case and former senator co-owner Ted Leonsis over management of then struggling Wizards.
