Hockey Day MN was started in 2007 by the Minnesota Wild as a way to bringtogether hockey fans from around the state.

The first Hockey Day MN was held in Bemidji, MN and has since been held in numerous cities around the state including St. Paul, Duluth, Moorhead, and Minnetonka.

Hockey Day MN is typically held on the third Saturday of January and features numerous outdoor hockey games played by local High School college, and Junior hockey teams.

The Locations for Hockey Day MN

The locations for Hockey Day MN have been announced and it is St. Cloud, Minnesota that will get to host the event for the 10th time. The other locations in the running were Duluth, Bemidji, and Moorhead but St. Cloud was chosen because of its “long-standing tradition of being a hotbed of hockey in the state.”

This will be the first time that St. Cloud has hosted Hockey Day MN since 2013 and it is sure to be a Great Event For those who are not familiar with Hockey Day MN, it is an annual celebration of the sport of hockey that takes place in a different community in Minnesota each year.

The Future of Hockey Day MN

Hockey Day Minnesota is an annual celebration of the sport of hockey. The event began in 2006, and was created by the Minnesota Wild to celebrate the game at all levels, from Youth Hockey to the professional game.

Since its inception, Hockey Day MN has become one of the largest events of its kind in the country, and has been recognized as one of the “top 10 outdoor hockey festivals” by USA Today

Hockey Day MN will be held on January 14-16, 2022. The event will once again be hosted by the City of St. Paul, and will feature Games Played at venues across Minnesota.
