Troy Aikman was born on November 21, 1966, in West Covina, California. He is the son of Nancy (née Smith) and Edward Colin Aikman. Aikman’s father was a quarterback for Oregon State University. Troy’s parents divorced when he was young, and his mother later remarried. Aikman grew up in Cerritos, California, and did not see much of his father.
