Aldridge played his first NBA game on October 28, 2006, starting at power forward against the Los Angeles Clippers. In that game, he had four points and two rebounds in a 106-92 Blazers’ loss. In the 2010 offseason, Aldridge signed a five-year, $65 million contract extension with the Blazers. The following season, he was again named an All-Star and helped lead the Blazers back to the playoffs.

In 2012–13, Aldridge played in all 82 games for the fourth consecutive season, averaging a career-high 21.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He was named to his third All-Star team and was voted by the fans as a starter for the Western Conference team.

In 2013–14, Aldridge continued to be one of the Blazers’ most reliable players, averaging 23.2 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. He was once again selected to play in the NBA All-Star Game, this time as a reserve for the Western Conference team.

In 2014–15, Lamarcus Aldridge had another strong season, averaging 21.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. However, injuries limited him to just 69 games played.
