This is due to the state having less stringent coronavirus guidelines than other states. Right now, there are four teams playing in Florida: the Miami Heat, the Orlando Magic, the Tampa Bay Raptors, and the Houston Rockets.

Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic are an American professional basketball team based in Orlando, Florida. The Magic compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Southeast Division. The franchise was established in 1989 as an expansion team, and such notable NBA stars as Shaquille O’Neal, Penny Hardaway, Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway, and Dwight Howard have played for the club throughout its young history. As of 2019, the franchise has played in the NBA playoffs for exactly half of its existence (14 out of 28 seasons).

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat is a professional basketball team based in Miami, Florida. They are members of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Heat play their home games at American Airlines Arena, and are owned by Micky Arison, who also owns cruise-ship giant Carnival Corporation. The team is coached by Erik Spoelstra.

The Miami Heat began play in the 1988–89 NBA season as an expansion team. They play their home games at American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami. The team’s colors are red, black, and white, after the colors of Minor League Baseball’s Charlotte Stone Crabs.

The Heat have appeared in three NBA Finals: in 2006, when they lost to the Dallas Mavericks 4-2; in 2011, when they defeated the Mavericks 4-2 to win their first championship; and in 2012, when they defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 4-1 to win their second consecutive championship. The Tampa Bay Rays are a professional baseball team based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Rays compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member of the American League (AL) East division. Since its inception, the team’s home ballpark has been Tropicana Field.
