San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are a professional American football team located in the San Francisco Bay Area. They compete in the National Football League as a member of the league’s National Football Conference West division.
Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team that competes in the National Football League (NFL). The Rams franchise was founded in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams in the short-lived second American Football League (AFL) before joining the NFL the next year. In 1946, the franchise moved to Los Angeles. The Rams franchise remained in the metro area until 1994, when it moved to Anaheim Stadium. The Rams franchise returned to Los Angeles in 2016, moving back into the city they called home for nearly 50 years.
The Rams are currently the only team in California to have won a Super Bowl title, having done so in 1999 while based in St. Louis. However, they are also one of only two teams (the other being the San Francisco 49ers) to have won multiple NFL championships, having done so on three occasions: once while based in Los Angeles (1951) and twice while based in St. Louis (1999 and 2001).
Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders are a professional American football team based in Oakland, California. They compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The Raiders rank as the most successful NFL team from 1966 to 1985, winning six Divisional titles and one Super Bowl title in that span. As of 2019, they are the last franchise to have won consecutive Super Bowls; they did so in 1976 and 1977.
