Schyster (I.R.S.), holding onto the belts until early 1979 when they were defeated by Cowboy Bill Watts and Mr. Wrestling II – their only title loss during this reign or indeed any other during their time together in early 1979 which saw them having numerous successful defenses against various teams including that of The Wild Samoans before Mr DiBiase left for Mid South Wrestling by mid-1979 effectively disbanding The Million Dollar Team – Irs would hold onto one half of the titles to make him a double champion together with his newly won NWA World Six Man Tag Team Championship Belt until he regained the NWA World Six Man Tag Team Championship Belt at an NWA Mid south show in November 1979 handing one half of The WWE Tag Team Championship Belts back over to Ted Dibiase effectively giving him sole ownership again – Dibiase would then vacate both titles due to injury soon afterwards thereby making them inactive until Jules Strongbow and Tony Garea won them back from Dibiase’s lieuemen Dick Murdoch & Adrian Adonis at Madison Square Garden in January 1981 – Strongbow & Garea successfully defended their titles against many top tag teams including that of Mr Fuji & Mr Saito , WWF Intercontinental Champion Don Muraco & WWF Hardcore Champion Pedro Morales , Blackjack Mulligan & Blackjack Lanza before losing them back to Murdoch & Adonis at MSG again in September 1981 thus beginning Murdoch & Adonis’ second reign
