Carmella was born on October 23, 1987 in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is of Italian descent. Carmella began her career as a member of the dance team at Worcester State University. She later moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in acting and modeling.
Carmella made her television debut on the reality show Total Divas in 2014. She made her WWE main roster debut in 2016 and won the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship in 2017.
