Charlotte Flair is an American professional wrestler. She is signed to WWE, where she performs on the SmackDown brand. Born into wrestling royalty, Fliehr was trained by her father Ric Flair. She debuted in WWE in 2012. Despite being born into a wrestling family, Charlotte had a passion for fashion design and modeling growing up and featured in many commercials while still in high school. After completing high school, she began working full-time for WWE.
Charlotte is a former two-time WWE Women’s Champion, a former Divas Champion and a former NXT Women’s Champion. She is also the only woman to have won the Raw Women’s Championship, the SmackDown Women’s Championship and the NXT Women’s Championship. As of May 2020, she has held all four titles within WWE at some point in her career, making her the first and only woman in history to have accomplished this grand slam feat.
Early life and family
Charlotte Flair was born Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr on April 5, 1986, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the daughter of Ric Flair, a professional wrestling legend. She has an older brother, Reid, and a younger sister, Ashley.
Charlotte’s parents divorced when she was young, and she was raised by her mother. She attended school in Charlotte and graduated from Providence High School in 2004.
In college, Charlotte studied graphic design and marketing. She later dropped out of college to pursue a career in professional wrestling.
Professional wrestling career
Charlotte Flair made her professional wrestling debut on May 30, 2012, when she wrestled Saraya Knight in a dark match at a taping of WSU’s Shimmer Women Athletes. On July 21, 2012, Flair returned to WSU to team with Brooke Tessmacher in a tag match against Alliance leader Annie Social and Terra Calaway, which she lost. On September 8, Flair took part in a five-person gauntlet match to determine the number one contender to the WSU Championship, but was the first person eliminated from the match by Jessicka Havok. The following day, Flair challenged Havok for the WSU Championship, but was again defeated.
On November 10 at Shimmer Volume 45, Flair defeated Kimberly Franklin in a singles match. The following day atVolume 46, Flair defeated Franklin again in a rematch. On December 1 at Volume 47, Flair defeated Serena Deeb to win the Shimmer Tag Team Championship with her partner Brooke Tessmacher.
On May 3, 2013, Fliehr signed a contract with WWE and was assigned to their developmental brand NXT. She made her televised debut on the May 8 episode of NXT under the name Charlotte-, where she defeated Alicia Fox in a tag team match with Bayley. Charlotte made her official television debut on the July 24 episode of NXT , where she defeated Sasha Banks.

Charlotte Flair was born on April 5, 1986, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the daughter of Ric Flair.She has an older brother, David, and a younger sister, Ashley. As a child, Flair attended Davidson College followed by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She graduated from UNCC with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations and business.
In December 2013, Flair married Thomas Latimer (known professionally as Bram). The couple divorced in 2015. In May 2016, it was announced that Flair was engaged to Riki Paul Johnson; the couple have since broken up. She is currently in a relationship with Andrade “Cien” Almas.
