Hornswoggle made his WWE debut on the May 29, 2006 episode of Velocity, which was the last episode of Velocity before being replaced by Heat. He defeated jobber Danny Basham. The following week on Heat, he defeated another jobber,briscoe Brothers. In June and July, He competed in many dark matches before SmackDown and house shows.
