How Old Is Kane Wwe?

Find out how old WWE superstar Kane is, as well as some interesting facts about his time in the WWE.

The Early Years

Kane was born on April 26, 1967, in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid, Spain, making him 52 years old. His real name is Glenn Thomas Jacobs, and he is an American professional wrestler, actor, and businessman. He is signed to WWE on a part-time basis and is currently appearing on the SmackDown brand.

Debut

Kane made his WWF debut at Badd Blood: In Your House on October 5, 1997, as the masked “singles competitor” Chainsaw Charlie, defeating Mankind in the first ever Hell in a Cell match. For storyline purposes, it was said that while Charlie and Mankind were trapped inside theCell, the lights went out and a demonic figure appeared, setting fire to the ringpost with his pyro. The demonic figure was later revealed to be Kane.

First WWE Championship

Kane’s first WWE Championship came at the 1998 King of the Ring, where he defeated The Undertaker in the finals of a tournament. He lost the title to The Rock three weeks later.

The Attitude Era

The attitude era was a time where Kane was at his peek. He was popular with the fans and was known for his matches with Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker. Kane was also known for his storyline with The Rock.

WWE Tag Team Champions

At its peak in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the World Wrestling Federation’s “Attitude Era” was the most popular period in professional wrestling history. The era was defined by its mix of edgy, adult-oriented programming and high-flying, athletic action, which helped propel WWE to the top of the pro wrestling world.

One of the most iconic tag teams of the Attitude Era was the team of Kane and The Undertaker, known as The Brothers of Destruction. The team dominated WWE’s tag team division for much of the era, winning multiple tag team championships.

Kane, who is currently a member of WWE’s SmackDown Live roster, is also one of the few wrestlers who has remained active in WWE since the Attitude Era. In fact, Kane is currently one of WWE’s oldest active wrestlers, at 49 years old.

WWE Intercontinental Champion

The WWE Intercontinental Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion WWE on the SmackDown brand. It is one of two secondary championships for WWE’s main roster, along with the United States Championship on the Raw brand.

The current champion is Sami Zayn, who is in his first reign. He defeated The Miz to win the title at Extreme Rules on July 15, 2018.

The championship was introduced into WWE in 1979 with a tournament to crown the first champion, won by Pat Patterson. The inaugural champion was also one of three men to hold the title for more than one year consecutively, along with Ken Patera and Pedro Morales. Between 1999 and 2001, only four men held the title: Chyna, Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle, and Chris Jericho. Jericho was also the second of four men to win both the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships while holding this title (after Rob Van Dam). Edge accomplished this feat twice (the only man ever to do so), firstly being awarded the title due to a Triple Threat match involving Jericho and then-champion Christian where Edge won by pinning Christian; he then unified it with Jericho’s Undisputed Championship following WrestleMania X8 before losing it back to Jericho shortly thereafter due to Trish Stratus interfering in their rematch later that evening on Raw Is War by spraying Jericho in his eyes with perfume so that Edge could then hit him with an immediate spear for another successful title defense. In 2002 after being drafted as part of then-first ever Brand Extension Draft process during which former ECW wrestlers were brought into WWE while also creating two separate rosters – one for Monday Night Raw (WWE’s flagship program which aired live every Monday night) while simultaneously creating SmackDown! which would air taped every Thursday night – Eddie Guerrero became first ever World Heavyweight Champion while holding this title upon defeating Brock Lesnar at No Way Out; he would then vacate both titles following controversial events surrounding his cheating wife Vickie Guerrero (who served as SmackDown! General Manager at time) publicly revealing Eddie had been previously cheating on her during their entire marriage which she had been unaware of until recently learning about it from friends & family thereby calling into question whether or not Eddie had actually earned wins/accomplishments over past several years given possible suspicion he may have been cheating all along thereby leading her to make decision to vacate both titles effective immediately as she no longer felt comfortable having either championship associated with her husband given public revelation he had not been faithful during marriage.
