Tamina debuted on WWE’s main roster in 2010 as a bodyguard for Alicia Fox. She soon aligned herself with The Usos and became a member of their entourage. In 2013, Tamina turned heel and began feuding with The Usos. The following year, she formed an alliance with AJ Lee and Paige, which led to her winning the Divas Championship for the first time in 2014.

She made her televised in-ring debut on the June 29, 2010 episode of FCW television, where she competed in a divas battle royal won by Naomi Night. The following week, Tamina teamed with Alicia Fox and Aksana in a losing effort to Naomi, Angela and AJ Lee in a six-diva tag team match. She continued to compete in tag team matches over the next few months. In September 2010, Tamina entered a tournament to determine the inaugural FCW Divas Champion, but was eliminated from the tournament in the first round after losing to AJ Lee.
