How To Break In A A2000 Baseball Glove?

A2000 baseball gloves are some of the most popular gloves used by professional and amateur players alike. But how do you break in a A2000 baseball glove?

Soak the glove in warm water for 30 minutes.

To break in your A2000 baseball glove, start by soaking it in warm water for 30 minutes. This will help to soften the leather. After soaking, gently massage the glove with your hands to work the water into the leather. Then, stuff the glove with paper towels or a ball and tie it shut. Let it dry overnight. The next day, repeat the process of massaging the glove and letting it dry overnight. Do this for 3-5 days until the glove is broken in.

Apply a generous amount of glove oil or conditioner to the glove.

Open the glove and apply a generous amount of glove oil or conditioner to the inside surfaces of the glove. Close the glove and work the oil or conditioner into the leather by bending and twisting the glove in every direction. Next, take a baseball and bounce it off of the palm patch a few times. This will help to break in both the pocket and palm area of the glove. Finally, wring out the excess oil or conditioner from the glove.

Place a baseball in the glove and tie it shut with a rubber band.

There are a few ways that you can break in your new A2000 baseball glove, but one of the most popular methods is to tie the glove shut with a rubber band and place a baseball inside.

Leave the ball in the glove overnight, and then remove it and work the latex padding and leather around the ball to help shape the glove to your hand. You can also use another object like a tennis ball if you don’t have a baseball handy.

After working the glove for a few minutes, put the ball back in and tie it shut again. Repeat this process for several days until the glove is broken in to your liking.

Repeat steps 2-3 until the glove is soft and pliable.
