How to Draw a Tennis Shoe
Contents
Have you ever wanted to draw a tennis shoe? Of course you have! Check out this blog post to learn how to draw a tennis shoe in just a few easy steps.
Sketch your shoe’s outline.
Start by drawing a rectangle that fits the general shape of your sneaker. This will be the base of your drawing, so make sure it’s exactly how you want it to look. You can use a light pencil to sketch out your rectangle, or you can go right in with a dark pencil. If you make a mistake, don’t worry! You can erase it later.
Once you have your basic rectangle, start adding details to give your sneaker some personality. Draw the laces by adding two curved lines inside the rectangle. Then, add a small triangle at the point of each line to make the laces look more realistic.
Next, draw the tongue of the shoe by adding a curved triangle shape to the top of the sneaker. Finally, add two small circles on either side of the tongue for the shoelaces.
To finish up your drawing, erase any pencil lines that you don’t need anymore. You can also add color to your drawing if you want to make it really pop!
Draw the laces.
Start by drawing the laces. Start at the bottom of the shoe and work your way up. Make sure to leave enough space at the top for the tongue of the shoe.
Draw the tongue.
The tongue is one of the most important parts of the shoe. It needs to be relatively long and narrow. It should start at the top of the shoe and come down about halfway. Draw a curved line for the bottom of the tongue. Next, add two laces coming down from the top of the shoe.
Draw the shoe’s body.
Start by drawing a rectangle that will be the shoe’s body. The rectangle doesn’t have to be perfect, as you will be drawing over it in the next step.
Draw the sole.
Start by drawing the sole of the shoe. It should be curved and slightly elevated at the heel. Next, add the laces by drawing two curved lines that meet at a point in the center of the shoe. Finally, Draw the tongue of the shoe by adding a third curve line above the laces.
Draw the details.
Start by drawing the small details on the shoe. Add the laces, the Nike swoosh, and the wrinkles in the fabric. Then draw the outline of the shoe. Be sure to make the sneaker look 3D by drawing a shadow on one side.
