In order to turn your tennis shoes into dance shoes, you will need a few supplies. First, you will need a pair of tennis shoes. It does not matter what color they are, but they should be comfortable and in good condition. Second, you will need a sharpie or other permanent marker. This will be used to mark the bottom of your shoes so that you know where to cut. Finally, you will need a black marker. This will be used to color in the bottom of your shoes once they have been cut.
Prepare your shoes
You will need to purchase a good quality pair of sneakers or running shoes to use as your base. You will also need to purchase some kind of hard soling material, like leather, to add to the bottom of the shoes. You will also need to get some kind of adhesive to attach the soling material to the bottom of the shoes.
Take the laces out of your shoes.
This will give you a better sense of the shoe and how it will fit your foot as you dance. It will also help the shoe to mold to your foot more easily. You can always put the laces back in later if you want, but for now, it’s best to dance without them.
Draw a line across the toe of the shoe with the sharpie.
You will want to start by drawing a line across the toe of the shoe with the sharpie. This will be your guide for where to cut the fabric. Next, cut a small strip of fabric that is about 1 inch wide and long enough to wrap around the toe of the shoe. Make sure that the fabric strip is not too tight or too loose. You should be able to slide your finger under the fabric when it is wrapped around the toe of the shoe.
Decorate your shoes
You will need:
Use the black marker to draw designs on your shoes.
Now that you have turned your tennis shoes into dance shoes, you may want to give them a little extra flair. You can do this by decorating them with a black Sharpie. Draw swirls, polka dots, or any other design that you like. Be creative and have fun with it!
Wear your new dance shoes
You have your new dance shoes and you can’t wait to show them off. But, you’re not quite sure how to turn those tennis shoes into dance shoes. Here are a few tips to help you get started.
Put the laces back in your shoes and tie them tightly.
As you know, most tennis shoes have laces which need to be removed before you can use them as dance shoes. Here’s a quick and easy way to put the laces back in your shoes and tie them tightly, so they’ll stay on while you’re dancing:
1. Start by putting the laces back in your shoes. If they’re too long, you can trim them with scissors.
2. Now, tie the laces tightly around your ankles. You may want to double-knot them for extra security.
3. That’s it! Your shoes are now ready to wear for dancing. Enjoy!
Wear your shoes to your next dance class!
Do you have a pair of trusty tennis shoes that you love to dance in? Great! You can turn them into the perfect pair of dance shoes with a few simple steps.
First, start by adding some padding to the inside of your shoes. This will help protect your feet from the impact of dancing. You can use gel insoles, foam pads, or even wadded-up socks. Just make sure that whatever you use is comfortable and not too bulky.
Next, add a layer of stickiness to the bottom of your shoes. This will help you keep your footing while you’re dancing. You can use double-sided tape, dance grips, or rosin powder. Just be sure to apply it evenly and not too thickly.
Finally, make sure your shoes fit well. They shouldn’t be too tight or too loose – you should be able to wiggle your toes comfortably. And that’s it! You’re ready to hit the dance floor in style.
