What’s new in the update

The new update for NBA 2K20 has arrived, and there are some big changes to the game. The biggest change is the addition of the WNBA, which means you can now play as your favorite women’s basketball players. There are also new player faces, new animations, and a new create-a-player mode.

New Features

myTeam: A brand new story mode featuringIdris Elba.
Playoffs Mode: Test your mettle against the best of the best in a single Elimination tournament.
Improved Gameplay: Experience smoother and more realistic movements with every player on the court.

MyTEAM

In NBA 2K20 MyTEAM, you can now take your card collecting and team management on the go with the new mobile companion app. With the app, you can stay up to date with the latest card releases, check out auctions and manage your collection and MyTEAM lineup on the go. You can also use the app to scan physical MyTEAM cards to add them to your digital collection.

MyCAREER

In the MyCAREER mode of NBA 2K20, your created player will embark on their professional journey as they are drafted by an NBA team. You’ll then play through the NBA season, with the goal of becoming the league MVP. Along the way, you’ll have to manage your off-court life, including maintaining relationships with friends and family. The MyCAREER mode has been heavily updated for NBA 2K20, so here’s a look at what’s new.

MyLEAGUE and MyGM

In NBA 2K20 MyLEAGUE and MyGM are more customizable than ever. You can now start your league in any year dating back to 1949, with historical players, Draft Classes, and Realignment all available from the get-go. You can also create an Expansion Team, or start your league with 30 All-Star teams. And for the first time in any sports video game, you can create a Female MyPLAYER in MyCAREER.

You can now also take total control of your team in MyGM / MyLEAGUE as the owner, GM, and head coach all in one. As the owner, you’ll be responsible for balancing the books and making sure your team is profitable. As the GM, you’ll be making personnel decisions such as trades, free agency signings, call-ups/send-downs, and more. And as the head coach, you’ll be responsible for designing plays and strategies, managing player minutes /rotations, and dealing with front office interference (or a total lack thereof).

The Neighborhood

One of the biggest changes in NBA 2K20 is the overhauled Neighborhood. In previous games, the Neighborhood was a place where you could walk around, buy some clothes, talk to other players, and maybe play a pick-up game or two. It didn’t have much purpose beyond that. But in NBA 2K20, the Neighborhood has been completely redone and it’s now central to the game.

The biggest change to the Neighborhood is that it’s now an online-only space. This means that you’ll be playing with (and against) other real people at all times. And because of that, there are now a ton of different activities to take part in. There’s still shopping and hanging out with friends, but there are also new activities like NBA games, 3-point contests, dunk contests, and more.

The Neighborhood is also where you’ll level up your MyPLAYER character. You’ll do this by participating in games and activities around the Neighborhood. As you level up, you’ll unlock new clothes, hairstyles, tattoos, and more for your player. You can also upgrade your MyPLAYER’s stats by spending points that you earn in games.

The updated Neighborhood is a huge step forward for NBA 2K and it makes the game more enjoyable than ever before.
