The following is a list of upcoming travel baseball tournaments in Illinois. These tournaments are open to teams from all over the state, and provide a great opportunity for competition.

The following is a list of upcoming Illinois Travel Baseball tournaments.

-June 15-16: Joliet Slammers Tournament (Joliet, IL)
-June 22-23: Arlington Heights Tournament (Arlington Heights, IL)
-June 29-30: Lake County Captains Tournament (Waukegan, IL)

Tournament Format

Most Travel Baseball tournaments follow a standard format. Typically, teams will play 3-5 games in a round-robin format, with the top teams advancing to a single-elimination Playoff Bracket The number of teams that advance to the playoffs will vary from tournament to tournament, but is typically between 4 and 8. The Playoff Bracket is usually seeded, meaning that the better-performing teams will have an easier path to the Championship game

Tournament Eligibility

Players must meet the following age requirements to be eligible to participate in travel baseball tournaments:
-8U: Must not turn 9 before May 1st of the current year
-9U: Must not turn 10 before May 1st of the current year
-10U: Must not turn 11 before May 1st of the current year
-11U: Must not turn 12 before May 1st of the current year
-12U: Must not turn 13 before May 1st of the current year
-13U: Must not turn 14 before May 1st of the current year
-14U: Must not turn 15 before May 1st of the current year

Tournament Fees

Tournament fees for the upcoming season have been released. The following tournaments will be held in Illinois:

-May Madness (5/22-5/24): $475
-Windy City Invitational (6/5-6/7): $475
-Summer Slam (6/12-6/14): $475
--Fourth of July Classic (7/3-7/5): $495
--Fall Ball Classic (8/29-8/31): $495

Tournament Rules

All teams must be registered with their local affiliate of USSSA baseball Tournament entry fees must be paid in full prior to the first game. A birth certificate and three proofs of residency are required for all players. Rosters must be completed and turned in to the tournament director before the first game. All team members must bat in the lineup and all pitchers must pitch to complete a game.

Games will be played using USSSA baseball rules with the following exceptions:
A. 6 Innings (time limit)
B. 10 run rule after 4 innings
C. 12 run rule after 5 innings
D. 15 run rule after 6 innings
E. No Protested Games

Tournament Highlights

While many establishments are just beginning to open back up, others remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, if you are looking for something fun to do this summer, consider signing up for an upcoming Illinois travel baseball tournament! Tournament highlights include:
-The IHSA State Tournament will be held from July 29-31 at various locations across the state.
-The Chicago White Sox will be hosting a tournament from August 6-8 at their home field, Guaranteed Rate Field.
-The Joliet Slammers will be hosting a tournament from August 13-15 at their home field, Silver Cross Field
