Cole’s Time in WWE So Far

NXT

Adam Cole made his WWE debut in 2013, when he signed a developmental contract with WWE and was assigned to NXT. He made his televised in-ring debut on the May 8, 2013 episode of NXT, defeating Chase Parker. Two weeks later, on May 22, Cole defeated Parker again. Cole participated in the 2013 NXT Tag Team Tournament with good friend and fellow independent wrestler Kyle O’Reilly, losing in the first round to CJ Parker and Briley Pierce.

In August 2018, it was reported that Cole had signed a contract with WWE, and he was assigned to their developmental territory NXT UK. Upon his debut on the October 17, 2018 episode of NXT UK, Cole won a Battle Royal to become the number one contender for the NXT UK Championship. He failed to win the title from Pete Dunne on the November 28 episode of NXT UK, after Dunne attacked Cole with a chair before the match could officially start.

On December 5 at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, Cole defeated Dunne to win the NXT UK Championship. He lost the title back to Dunne in a two-out-of-three falls match at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff on August 31, 2019.
