On July 24, 2017, it was reported that Bliss had been drafted to the SmackDown brand as part of the WWE draft, making her the first female drafted in the second round. She made her first appearance on the blue brand on the August 1 episode of SmackDown Live, facing and defeating Naomi. Two weeks later on SmackDown Live, Bliss defeated Carmella to become the number one contender for Naomi’s WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.Bliss failed to capture the title at SummerSlam after she was distracted by Natalya and Nikki Bella, who were ringside. The following night on SmackDown Live, Bliss and Natalya started a feud after she attacked her during a match against Carmella and Becky Lynch. This led to a match between the two at No Mercy, which Bliss won. After losing a rematch to Natalya on October 10 edition of SmackDown Live in a steel cage match, their feud ended.

On November 7 at Survivor Series, Bliss led her team of Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi and Tamina Snuka in a 5-on-5 elimination tag team match against Team Raw (Alicia Fox, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James and Nia Jax), which Team Raw won after Fox was eliminated by Lynch. The following month at Clash of Champions in December, Bliss successfully defended her title against James. She then entered into another feud with Lynch after she turned on her during a tag team match with Lynch and Charlotte Flair against herself and Carmella on January 9th edition of Smackdown Live due to Flair accidentally spearing her when attempting to hit Banks during their women’s Royal Rumble match days earlier., ultimately leading to a Triple Threat Match also involving Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at Royal Rumble which she failed to win after being pinned by Lynch following an interference from Ronda Rousey; post-match it was announced that Bliss would face Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship at Elimination Chamber

At Elimination Chamber on February 17th edition of Raw (which aired February 17), Bliss defeated Rousey via pinfall to win the Raw Women’s Championship for a second time; post-match Rousey put her through one of the pods as per their stipulation from earlier in the night. Women’s Revolution

The Women’s Revolution began in earnest in 2015, when WWE held a live event called “#GiveDivasAChance”, in response to fan frustration over the company’s lack of investment in its female performers. The event was a massive success, and led to increased focus on the women’s division, including the addition of new female talent and the creation of the Women’s Championship.

In 2016, WWE held its first ever all-women’s Pay-Per-View event, “WrestleMania 32″, which featured several historic firsts, including the main event match between Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. The following year, WWE introduced the first ever women’s tournament, ” Mae Young Classic”, which was won by Kairi Sane.

Since then, WWE has continued to invest in its female performers, with an increased number of matches and storylines featuring women on all WWE programming. In 2018, Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut at “WrestleMania 34”, and currently holds the Raw Women’s Championship. Becky Lynch is also a current champion, holding both the SmackDown Women’s Championship and the Raw Women’s Championship.
