In 2014, Brandon Jennings signed a one-year contract with the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association. Jennings was the first NBA player to play in the CBA during the 2014–15 season. He averaged 27.1 points, 5.5 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game, leading his team to a 23–17 record and the third seed in the playoffs. In the 2015 CBA Playoffs, Jennings helped the Ducks reach the Finals for the first time in franchise history, where they lost to former NBA player Andray Blatche and the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
