Bray Wyatt’s Status in WWE – The latest on the WWE star’s injury and whether or not he will be able to return to the ring.

Who is Bray Wyatt?

Bray Wyatt is a professional wrestler who is currently signed to WWE. He is best known for his time in WWE’s developmental brand NXT, where he was the inaugural NXT Champion. He has also held the WWE Tag Team Championship and the WWE United States Championship.

Wyatt made his main roster debut in 2013 as a member of The Wyatt Family. The group consisted of himself, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Braun Strowan. They quickly became one of the most dominant factions in WWE, winning multiple championships and main eventing pay-per-views. Following a split between Harper and Rowan, Wyatt went on to have a successful singles career, winning the WWE Universal Championship in 2017. He has since been inactive due to injury.

Wyatt’s Time in WWE

Bray Wyatt has been with WWE since 2013, but he has been a household name in the wrestling world since his days in the independent scene. He has been a world champion, a tag team champion, and a money in the bank winner. He is currently one of the top stars on Smackdown Live.

The Wyatt Family

The Wyatt Family is a professional wrestling stable in WWE that made its debut on the July 8, 2013, episode of SmackDown. The group consists of leader Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, and Luke Harper. They are named after Bray Wyatt’s ring name.

The faction originally consisted of just Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. Erick Rowan was later added to the group as a third member. The Wyatt Family made their WWE main roster debut on the July 8, 2013, episode of SmackDown, defeating Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Tensai).

On the November 18 episode of Raw, The Wyatt Family defeated Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) in a match to determine the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship at Survivor Series. At the event, they defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust to win their first WWE Tag Team Championship as a team.

On the February 24, 2014 episode of Raw, The Wyatt Family defeated The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins) in a six-man tag team Elimination Chamber match to become the number one contenders for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. At WrestleMania XXX, they failed to capture the title from John Cena.

On May 4 at Extreme Rules, The Wyatt Family defeated Cahdrella (Cody Rhodes and Goldust) in a steel cage match to retain their WWE Tag Team Championship thanks to interference from Big Show.

On June 29 at Money in the Bank, Harper unsuccessfully challenged for Cena’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a ladder match also involving Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro, Sheamus and Randy Orton; this would also be his solitary world championship opportunity in singles competition during his time with Bray Wyatt as his monster henchman.

Wyatt as a Singles Wrestler

While Wyatt has had a few matches as a singles wrestler, he is best known for his role in The Wyatt Family. The Wyatt Family debuted in WWE’s developmental territory, NXT, in 2012. The group originally consisted of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan. Harper and Rowan were later joined by Braun Strowman, and the group became one of the most successful stables in WWE history.

Wyatt’s time in WWE has been marked by several marquee moments. In 2013, he won WWE’s Slammy Award for Breakout Superstar of the Year. The following year, he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event. He has also held the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship on two occasions, once with Harper and once with Strowman.

As of 2021, Wyatt is currently one of WWE’s top stars. He is a former WWE Champion and Universal Champion, and he is currently one-half of the Raw Tag Team Champions with Strowman.

Wyatt’s Status in WWE

Bray Wyatt’s status in WWE is currently up in the air. He has not been seen on WWE programming since the Firefly Fun House episode on June 1st. It was reported that Wyatt had requested time off to deal with a personal matter.

On the Main Roster

Bray Wyatt is currently on the WWE main roster. He is a former WWE Champion, and has held the WWE Universal Championship and the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.

In NXT

As of June 2019, Wyatt is once again a part of the NXT brand.

What’s Next for Bray Wyatt?

Bray Wyatt’s recent Firefly Fun House segment has left fans wondering what’s next for the former WWE Champion. Will he return to his creepy, villainous ways? Or is something else in store for the Eater of Worlds? Let’s take a look at some possibilities.

A Return to the Main Roster

There has been much speculation as to what is next for former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt after his recent run in NXT. While it is possible that he could return to the black-and-gold brand, it is more likely that he will be making his way back to the main roster in the near future.

Wyatt made his debut on the main roster in 2013 and quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of the most popular Superstars in WWE. He won the WWE Championship in 2017 and held it for nearly five months before losing it to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 33.

After a brief stint on SmackDown Live, Wyatt was moved back to Raw in 2018 and formed a tag team with Matt Hardy, dubbed “The Deleters of Worlds”. The team was incredibly successful, winning the Raw Tag Team Championships on two occasions.

In 2019, Wyatt took a leave of absence from WWE due to personal issues. He made his return to NXT in 2020, aligning himself with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, a dark alter ego that had previously been used on the main roster.

The Fiend was an instant success, becoming one of the most popular characters in all of WWE. He won the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel 2019 and held it until WrestleMania 36, where he lost it to Goldberg in a matter of seconds.

Since then, The Fiend has not been seen on WWE programming. There have been rumors that he could make his return soon, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

With Wyatt’s recent run in NXT coming to an end, it seems likely that he will be making his way back to the main roster in the near future. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for him upon his return.

A Run with the NXT Championship

In recent months, Bray Wyatt has been one of the most dominant forces in WWE, winning the Universal Championship and leading his dark sect known as The Fiend to new levels of terror.

With Wyatt’s stronghold on Monday Night Raw seeming unbreakable, many fans are wondering what’s next for The Eater of Worlds. Could he make the jump to WWE’s black-and-gold brand and challenge for the NXT Championship?

While it’s certainly possible that Bray could find himself in NXT in the near future, it’s also worth noting that he just became Mr. Money in the Bank last month. This means that he has a guaranteed shot at any WWE Championship of his choosing, and it’s unlikely that he would give that up for anything else.

So what does the future hold for Bray Wyatt? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: The Fiend is here to stay.
