Is It The Playoffs In The NFL?
It’s that time of year again. The time when we all start asking ourselves, is it the playoffs in the NFL? Here’s a quick guide to help you figure it out.
What are the playoffs?
The NFL playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the end of the National Football League’s regular season to determine the NFL champion. Six teams from each of the league’s two conferences qualify for the playoffs based on regular season records, and a tie-breaking procedure exists if needed. The tournament culminates with the Super Bowl, its championship game.

The playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the end of the regular season to determine the NFL champion. Wild card teams are seeded fifth and sixth, and play each other in the first round. The first-seeded team then hosts the fourth-seeded team, and the second-seeded team hosts the third-seeded team, in the divisional round. The winners of these games advance to the conference championships, where the AFC champion is determined by playing the NFC champion in the Super Bowl.
