Since the release of NBA 2K19, there’s been a lot of talk about whether or not the game will feature cross play. Here’s what we know so far.
What is NBA 2K?
NBA 2K is a basketball simulation video game developed and published by Visual Concepts. It is the sixteenth installment in the NBA 2K franchise and the successor to NBA 2K16. It was released worldwide on September 20, 2016, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Players complete various activities in order to earn MyTeam points, which are used to open packs that contain random items. These items include player cards, which can be used to create custom teams.
MyTeam mode returns in NBA 2K17, with several changes and additions. Among these are new player-builds, which enable players to create more specific types of players. For example, a player could create a shooting guard who specializes in three-point shooting. In addition, players can now use “archetypes” when creating their custom players; these determine the basic skills and attributes of created players.
What is Cross Play?
Cross-play is the ability to play an online video game across more than one platform. So, for example, you could play a game on your Xbox One with someone who is playing on a PC. NBA 2K is a popular game that people Cross Play.
Does NBA 2K Have Cross Play?
Unfortunately, NBA 2K does not have cross play. This means that players on different platforms will not be able to play with or against each other.
How to Enable Cross Play in NBA 2K
In order to enable cross play in NBA 2K, go to the Main Menu>Options/Features>Cross Play. From here you will be able to enable or disable the feature. Please note that you will need a 2K Account in order to sign in and enable cross play.
