How to Fix NBA 2K20 Server Problems
If you’re having trouble connecting to the NBA 2K20 servers, there are a few things you can try to do in order to fix the issue. First, you can try restarting your console or PC. If that doesn’t work, you can try connecting to a different server. If you’re still having trouble, you can try contacting 2K customer support.
Check your internet connection
The first thing you want to do is rule out any potential problems with your internet connection. NBA 2K20 is a demanding game, and you’ll need a solid connection to enjoy smooth gameplay. If you’re using a wireless connection, try moving closer to your router or connecting directly with an Ethernet cable.
Once you’ve rule out your connection as the problem, the next step is to check the status of the NBA 2K20 servers.
Restart your router or modem
If you’re experiencing NBA 2K20 server problems and can’t seem to log in or connect to a game, the first thing you should try is restarting your router or modem. Sometimes, this simple step can fix intermittent NBA 2K20 server issues.
Clear your console’s cache
If you’re still having trouble connecting to NBA 2K20 servers, the next thing you should try is clear your console’s cache. This will reset your network connection and hopefully fix any issues you’re having. Each console has a different method for clearing the cache, so be sure to follow the instructions for your specific console.
On Xbox One:
-Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
-Select Settings.
-Select System.
-Select Storage & reset.
-Select Clear local saved games.
-Confirm by selecting Yes.
On PlayStation 4:
-From the main menu, go to Settings.
-Scroll down and select Applications.
-Highlight NBA 2K20 and press the Options button on your controller.
-Select Delete.
Reset your DNS settings
One potential solution for fixing NBA 2K20 server problems is to reset your DNS settings. This is because sometimes the problem could be with your ISP’s DNS server and not with the NBA 2K20 servers themselves. To reset your DNS settings, follow the instructions below:
For Windows:
1. Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > View network status and tasks.
2. Click on Change adapter settings.
3. Right-click on your active network connection and select Properties.
4. Click on the IPv4 or IPv6 protocol and click Properties.
5. Select Obtain DNS server address automatically and click OK.
6. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
For Mac:
1. Go to System Preferences > Network from the Apple Menu bar.
2. Select your active network connection from the list of locations on the left and then click Advanced on the right side of the window.
3. Under the DNS tab, select Configure IPv6 and set it to Off if it isn’t already and then click OK.
4 Restart your computer for the changes to take effect
Contact your ISP
If you’re experiencing NBA 2K20 server issues, the first step is to contact your ISP and make sure there are no problems on their end. Often, server issues are caused by problems with the ISP’s network.
There are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the issue on your end:
-Check your internet connection: Make sure you have a strong internet connection. Weak connections can often lead to server issues.
-Restart your router: Sometimes, all you need to do is restart your router to fix the issue.
-Clear your console’s cache: This will clear any temporary files that could be causing problems.
-Hard reset your console: This will reset your console to its factory settings. You will lose any data that isn’t backed up, so make sure you have a backup before doing this.
