The San Francisco Warriors were a professional basketball team based in San Francisco, California that played from 1962 to 1971. The franchise was originally founded in Philadelphia in 1946 as the Philadelphia Warriors, a charter member of the Basketball Association of America (BAA). In 1962, the team moved to San Francisco, and changed their name to the San Francisco Warriors. The Warriors won the NBA Championship in 1975 and again in 2015.
