That’s right, you can’t just add your friends from Xbox One or PS4 and start playing with them. You will need to use a workaround to get crossplay working in NBA 2K20 on Nintendo Switch.
Here’s how to do it:
1) Add your friends on either Xbox Live or PlayStation Network.
2) Go to ‘MyLEAGUE’ in the main menu.
3) Start an online ‘League Play’ game.
4) Invite your friends from either Xbox Live or PlayStation Network to join your game.
5) Once all your friends have joined the game, quit out to the main menu.
6) Go to ‘Options/Features’ and turn on ‘Cross-Platform Play’.
7) Start another online ‘League Play’ game and you will now be able to play with your friends who are on different platforms.
PC
On PC, you can add friends through your Steam account or by their 2K account name. If you want to add someone by their Steam account, go to your “Friends” list in the Steam client and click “Add a Friend.” You can also check your “Recent Players” list to see if anyone you recently played NBA 2K20 with is on your PC. To do this, go to your “Friends” list and click on the “Recent Players” tab. If they’re not on your Recent Players list, you can search for them by their 2K account name.
