The KBL is currently made up of 10 teams. These teams are the: Anyang Kgc Changwon LG Sakers, Cheongju KB Stars, Goyang Orions, Incheon ET Land Elephants, Jeonju Kcc Egis Joshu Busan KT Sonicboom, Seoul Samsung Thunders Seoul SK Knights and the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus
The teams are all located in different cities in South Korea with the exception of the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus who are based in Ulsan but also have a second home in Suwon.
The KBL season usually starts at the end of October and ends in late April the following year. A total of 40 regular season games are played over this period with each team playing every other team four times (twice at home and twice away). The top four teams at the end of the Regular Season then go on to compete in the play-offs which follow a best of three series until a winner is crowned.
