Kentucky’s seeding in the 2018 SEC Tournament

The Kentucky Wildcats are the No. 5 seed in the 2018 SEC tournament and will face the Auburn Tigers in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 9 at 1 p.m. ET at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

This is the second time in three years that Kentucky has been seeded fifth in the SEC tournament The Wildcats went on to win the tournament in 2016, defeating Texas A&M in the Championship game

Auburn is seeded fourth in the tournament and is coming off a regular season ending loss to Alabama. The Tigers are led by guard Bryce Brown who averages 16.9 points per game

The winner of the Kentucky-Auburn game will face either No. 1 seed Tennessee or No. 8 seed Arkansas in the semifinals on Saturday, March 10 at 1 p.m. ET.

Kentucky’s potential opponents in the 2018 SEC Tournament

With the Regular Season now complete, let’s take a look at Kentucky’s potential opponents in the 2018 SEC Tournament. The Wildcats are the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will open play on Friday, March 9, at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network

If Kentucky wins its opener, it will advance to play either Auburn or South Carolina on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN. A win there would put the Wildcats in the semifinals for a Sunday matchup with either Tennessee or Arkansas at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN. The championship game is scheduled for Monday, March 12, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
