NBA Youngboy, real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden appeared in court today to face charges of attempted second-degree murder. The 21-year-old rapper is accused of opening fire on a group of people in Baton Rouge Louisiana, in 2016.

Youngboy pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. If convicted, he faces up to 50 Years in Prison

The rapper’s attorney told the court that Youngboy is “a changed young man” who is “very much remorseful” for his actions. Youngboy has been out on bond since April 2018 and has been complying with the terms of his release, his attorney said.

A trial date has not been set for Youngboy. He is next scheduled to appear in court on May 28.
