Youngboy, born Kentrell Gaulden, was sentenced to 10 months in jail in February 2019 after pleading guilty to assault charges stemming from a fight that took place in Austin, Texas, in 2017. He was credited for time served and was released on probation.
This isn’t the first time Youngboy has been in trouble with the law—he’s faced charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, and drug possession—but it seems like he’s ready to put his past behind him and focus on his music career. His latest album, Ain’t Too Long 2 Drop, was released while he was in jail, and he’s already got new music on the way.
