NBA Youngboy’s Legal Troubles
NBA Youngboy, real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is no stranger to legal troubles. The 20-year-old Baton Rouge, Louisiana native has been in and out of jail since he was a teenager. In March of 2016, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to drug and gun charges. He was released on probation in June of 2018.
NBA Youngboy’s first arrest
In February 2017, NBA Youngboy was arrested in Tallahassee, Florida and charged with attempted first-degree murder. The arrest stemmed from a shooting that occurred outside of a motel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on October 2016. Youngboy was allegedly involved in the shooting, which left one person injured.
Youngboy was released on bond in April 2017, but was arrested again in May 2017 on charges of battery and false imprisonment. He was accused of assaulting his then-girlfriend, Jania Jackson.
In November 2017, Youngboy pleaded guilty to the battery charge and was sentenced to two years probation. The false imprisonment charge was dropped.
NBA Youngboy’s second arrest
In March of 2017, NBA Youngboy was arrested for the second time in two months. The first arrest came after a fight at a concert in Texas. The second arrest was for an outstanding warrant in Louisiana. NBA Youngboy was released on bond for the second arrest, but was still facing charges from the first arrest.
In April of 2017, NBA Youngboy pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and was sentenced to two years of probation. As part of his probation, NBA Youngboy was not allowed to leave Louisiana or have any contact with the victim of his assault.
In November of 2017, NBA Youngboy’s probation was revoked after he was caught on video assaulting another man in Atlanta. As a result, NBA Youngboy was sentenced to 10 months in prison. He was released from prison in December of 2018.

In addition to those charges, NBA Youngboy is also facing a charge of aggravated battery in Louisiana, stemming from an incident in which he allegedly beat up his girlfriend Jania Meshell.
So far, there is no word on when or if NBA Youngboy will stand trial for either of these cases. However, he is currently scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on the Louisiana charge on March 25.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for NBA Youngboy. But one thing is for sure: he has a lot of legal troubles to deal with.
