The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league. It is composed of 32 teams divided into two conferences: the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC).
American Football Conference
The American Football Conference (AFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL), the highest professional level of American football in the world. The AFC was created as a result of the AFL-NFL merger of 1970, and its counterpart is the NFC.
North Division
The American Football Conference – also known as the AFC – is one of the two conferences that make up the National Football League (NFL). The AFC is made up of 16 teams, divided into four divisions: the North, South, East, and West.
The North division consists of the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers. All four teams are located in the eastern half of the United States.
South Division
The South Division is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created before the 2002 NFL season when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams with the addition of the Houston Texans. The NFL currently has 33 teams, so realignment was necessary to keep an equal number of teams in each division.
The South Division consists of all four teams from the former AFC Central division: the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans. The team that wins this division each year goes on to compete in the AFC Championship game to try and make it to the Super Bowl.
East Division
The East Division is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created before the 1970 NFL season when the AFC and NFL merged. From 2002 to 2001, the division was home to six teams: The Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cleveland Browns. As of 2020, the only team left in the East Division from that era is the Bengals.

West Division

West Division
The West Division is one of the four divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created in 1967 as part of the NFL’s Eastern Conference expansion. The division currently consists of four teams: the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks. All four teams have won at least one NFC Championship.
