Introduction
The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America, and the highest professional level of American football in the world. NFL teams are organized into two conferences: the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC), each of which has 16 teams. A team may score points by advancing the ball into the opponent’s end zone for a touchdown or by kicking the ball through their opponents’ goalposts for a field goal.

List of NFL Teams
As of 2019, there are 32 NFL teams, divided equally into the National Football League’s two conferences, the National Football Conference and the American Football Conference. These are the teams that make up the NFL as of 2019.
AFC East
The AFC East is a division of the National Football League’s American Football Conference. It was created prior to the 1970 season when the league realigned sections of the AFC. There are currently four teams that play in the AFC East: The Buffalo Bills, The Miami Dolphins, The New England Patriots, and The New York Jets.
The divisional alignment was made with the primary goal of creating more even competition among NFL teams. Before this time, most NFL teams played all or most of their games against rivals in their own conference or division. This often resulted in one team having a very dominant season while the other teams in the same conference or division struggled. By placing teams in different divisions, it was hoped that this would create more parity and make for a more exciting and competitive NFL.

The AFC South is a division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Lions have won four NFL championships, but have not had much success in recent years. The Packers are one of the most successful teams in NFL history. NFC South
The NFC South is a division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created on January 8, 2002 to replace the old NFC West. The NFC South currently has four teams: the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Atlanta Falcons.
NFC West
The NFC West is a division of the National Football Conference of the National Football League. It currently contains four teams: the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. All four teams are in the Western United States.
The NFC West was formed in 1967 as part of the NFL’s realignment plan, which was designed to equalize theenormous geographical differences between some of its divisions at that time. Prior to 2002, when the NFL reorganized and realigned its divisions following the expansion ofthe league to 32 teams with the addition of the Houston Texans, the NFC West was traditionally considered one of if not the weakest division in football. This was most prominently illustrated during much of that time when only two teams fromthe entire division—the 49ers and Rams—made it to and won a Super Bowl (Los Angeles won Super Bowl XIV in 1980; San Francisco won Super Bowl XVI in 1982, Super Bowl XIX in 1985, Super Bowl XXIII in 1988, Super Bowl XXIV in 1989, and Super Bowl XXIX in 1994).
