One of the American League’s eight charter franchises, the franchise was founded in 1901 as a minor league club before joining MLB in 1902 as a charter member. The Boston Red Stockings won four World Series championships and seven pennants while playing ball at South End Grounds and Huntington Avenue Grounds before moving to Fenway Park in 1912.

The Tigers also won division titles in 1972 , 1984 and 1987 while members of the AL East .

The Milwaukee Brewers are one of the oldest teams in baseball. They were founded in 1869 as the Milwaukee Greys, and they became the Brewers in 1902. The Brewers have won one World Series title, in 2019.
