What Are The Teams In The Nfl Playoffs?
Contents
The NFL playoffs are upon us! Here’s a quick rundown of the teams that are still in the running for the Lombardi Trophy.
AFC Playoffs
The American Football Conference (AFC) playoffs are a postseason tournament that determines the winner of the AFC championship. The tournament culminates in the AFC Championship Game, which is typically played on the second Sunday in January and features the two best teams in the conference.
Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. The Ravens compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division. The team plays its home games at M&T Bank Stadium and is headquartered in Owings Mills.
The Ravens were established in 1996, when Art Modell, who was then the owner of the Cleveland Browns, announced plans to relocate the franchise to Baltimore. As part of a settlement between Modell, the city of Cleveland, and the other NFL owners (referred to collectively as “the league”), Cleveland agreed to give up its franchise rights for a expansion team which would receive an equal share of league revenues; in return, the league would not schedule any future Super Bowls in Cleveland until 2022. The Ravens then entered the Super Bowl era as one of three AFC teams (along with the Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins) who did not make it to that game during that decade.
In 2002, after winning Super Bowl XXXV,Modell retired; his son John took over as team president. In 2008, Harbaugh was hired as head coach; he led the team to their second Super Bowl victory following the 2012 season.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area. The Bills compete in the National Football League (NFL), as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The Bills conduct summer training camp at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, New York, an eastern suburb of Rochester.

The Houston Texans are a professional American football team based in Houston, Texas. The Texans compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.
