American League
The American League teams that are still in the playoffs are the Cleveland Indians, the Houston Astros, and the Boston Red Sox. The National League teams that are still in the playoffs are the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Chicago Cubs.
New York Yankees

National League
The National League playoff race is down to four teams vying for two spots. The Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers have clinched berths, leaving the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Colorado Rockies to battle it out for the final two playoff spots.
Los Angeles Dodgers
As of October 8th, the Los Angeles Dodgers have clinched the National League West division title and are guaranteed a spot in the MLB playoffs. As of right now, they are in first place in the National League and have a good chance of getting one of the top two seeds in the playoffs, which would mean they would get a bye in the first round. The Dodgers have been one of the best teams in baseball all season and are led by two-time NL MVP Clayton Kershaw.
Chicago Cubs
The Chicago Cubs are an American professional baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois. The Cubs compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) Central division. The team plays its home games at Wrigley Field, located on the city’s North Side.
Washington Nationals
The Washington Nationals are a professional baseball team based in Washington, D.C. The Nationals compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) division of the MLB. From 2005 to 2007, the team played in RFK Stadium while their permanent stadium, Nationals Park, was being built. In 2008, they moved in to the newly completed ballpark after 61 years at RFK Stadium.
Arizona Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks, often shortened as the D-backs, are an American professional baseball team based in Phoenix, Arizona.
