The game is typically played on Sunday night, but occasionally it is moved to another day of the week due to scheduling conflicts.

Monday Night Football
ESPN
Monday Night Football is a live television broadcast of weekly National Football League (NFL) games on ESPN. From 1970 to 2005, it aired on sister broadcast network ABC. Monday Night Football is also broadcast in Canada on TSN and RDS, and in most of Europe on ESPN America.
On November 17, 1997, the NFL returned Monday Night Football to ABC as part of a four-year contract worth US$1.15 billion – then the richest television contract in NFL history.ESPN took over the rights to Monday Night Football from ABC as part of a five-year contract signed in 2006, which was worth US$1.1 billion per year through 2011, making it the most expensive rights deal ever at that time for a cable network. The rights to Monday Night Football were again transferred to ESPN beginning with the 2012 season as part of an eight-year contract worth US$15.2 billion – then by far the richest rights deal in television history – which expires following the 2021 season (22nd MNF).
