NFC West
The NFC West is one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL. The Seattle Seahawks have won the division title six times in the last seven seasons, but the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers have closed the gap in recent years. The Arizona Cardinals are also a competitive team, but they have not been able to keep up with their division rivals in recent years.

1. Seattle Seahawks (11-4)
2. Los Angeles Rams (9-6)
3. San Francisco 49ers (11-4)

The Seahawks will be playing the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17, while the Rams will be playing the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers will be playing the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17.
NFC North
The NFC North is a division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It has four teams as of the 2002 realignment, all located in the Midwestern United States. The Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings are all members of the NFC North.
This division was created prior to the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, when the NFL’s 16 teams were divided into two conferences with two divisions each. When the NFL began play in 1960 with 14 teams, there were already teams located in Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, and Minnesota. The expansion Dallas Cowboys joined the Eastern Conference’s Capitol Division that year. In 1967, the NFL completed its expansion to 16 teams with the addition of two more expansion franchises (Atlanta and New Orleans), as well as an existing franchise which moved from Cleveland to Baltimore; these three teams formed an additional conference which was initially named Century Division but was quickly renamed Coastal Division.

All four teams are based in states located along the Gulf of Mexico: Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Florida respectively.
Since realignment took effect for 2002 season, each team has won at least one division title: Atlanta (four), Carolina (three), New Orleans (three), and Tampa Bay (one). As of 2019 NFC South is one of two divisions to send all of its teams to a conference championship game at least once during a four-year stretch – along with AFC West from 2013-2016. including three times where both NFC South teams qualified (2003, 2016-2017 seasons).
The NFC South has also had all four of its teams compete in the playoffs within a span of five years: from 2008-2012. This membership group consist of two former World Football League franchises – Falcons and Bucs – as well as two NFL former expansion franchises – Panthers and Saints.
