We often hear the term “All-NBA team” and wonder what it actually means. In short, the All-NBA team is a collection of the best players in the league, as voted on by a panel of experts.

What does All-NBA Team mean?

The All-NBA Team is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) honor given since the 1956–57 NBA season to the best performing players in the league during the regular season. Voting is conducted by a panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada, each of whom submit a list of their top five players at each of the five positions: point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center.
