What Drops Can You Get From Watching Lol Esports?

As a fan of competitive League of Legends, you might be wondering what sorts of rewards you can get from watching LOL Esports. While there isn’t a ton of information out there on this topic, we’ve done some digging and found a few potential drops that you could get your hands on.

The Different Drops You Can Get

Drops are a new way to get in-game rewards just by watching your favorite streams. To get started, you’ll need to link your Riot Games account with your Twitch account. Then, tune in to any official League of Legends stream during an event to start collecting drops. Drops are time-limited and event-based, so make sure to check back often to see what’s available.

Hextech Chests

Hextech chests are the only way to get permanent cosmetics (skins, chromas, ward skins, emotes, and summoner icons) in League of Legends outside of crafting them with blue essence or purchasing them with Riot Points. You’ll receive a Hextech chest after accumulating a certain amount of honor points. You can view your current progression towards your next Hextech chest by clicking on the “Honor” button under your profile picture on the client.

Each game mode has its own process for awarding Hextech chests. You can get them from:

Normal games – Random chance after every game you play
ARAM games – Random chance after every game you play
Co-op vs AI games – Guaranteed drop after completing three games
Rotating game mode queues – Guaranteed drop after completing three games

Emotes

There are different types of drops that you can get from watching LoL Esports. The most common type of drop is an emote. Emotes are small images that you can use in chat to express yourself. You can get emotes by watching any official LoL Esports stream, including our own.

To redeem your drops, you’ll need to connect your Twitch account to your LoL account. You can do this by going to the drop page on lolesports.com and clicking the “Connect my Twitch account” button. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to see all the drops you’ve earned and redeem them on the same page.

Some of these icons might be earned by watching certain competitions while others might be given out as part of a promotion. Here is a list of all the currently obtainable summoner icons.

League of Legends Drops Icon
You can get this icon simply by watching any official League of Legends esports stream on Twitch. It doesn’t matter which competition you are watching or how long you watch for, as you will get the icon as soon as the broadcast starts.

L Chop Icon
This icon is awarded for watching a minimum of two hours of the LPL Spring Split 2020 on Twitch. It doesn’t matter which specific matches you watch, as long as the total time watched is over two hours. The icon will be awarded automatically and should appear in your collection within 24 hours.

Uzi Icon
Uzi is a retired professional League of Legends player who now works as an analyst and commentator for LPL broadcasts. You can get his summoner icon by watching a minimum of four hours of LPL Spring Split 2020 on Twitch. As with the L Chop icon, it doesn’t matter which specific matches you watch, as long as the total time watched is over four hours. The icon will be awarded automatically and should appear in your collection within 24 hours.

Champion Capsules

In each Champion Capsule, you have a chance to get two different types of items. First, you’re guaranteed to get three pieces of random Champion Shard. You can use these to permanently unlock a Champion, or combine them into a permanent Champion rent. Secondly, you have a chance to get an Effects Dynamo that will give your next Recall a special animation and sound.
