Formula 1 has announced an esports series for the 2017 season, with qualifying races to decide which drivers will compete in the finale at Abu Dhabi later this year.
The top 20 drivers from around the world will take part in qualifying races over three grands prix weekends – Bahrain, China and Russia – with the final taking place at Abu Dhabi on November 25th. The winner will receive points towards the real-life championship standings.
