Bailey’s WWE Debut
Bailey made her WWE debut on the May 20, 2013 episode of NXT, losing to Paige in a singles match. She continued to compete in singles and tag team matches throughout the rest of the year. On the November 13 episode of NXT, Bailey defeated Summer Rae to become the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.
On the January 8, 2014 episode of NXT, Bailey unsuccessfully challenged Paige for the NXT Women’s Championship. The following month at WrestleMania 30, Bailey made her main roster debut as part of The Bella Twins’ entrance during their victory in a tag team match. She made her television debut on the May 5 episode of Raw, losing to Brie Bella.
Bailey then began a feud with Cameron, which led to a series of matches between them. On the June 30 episode of Raw, Bailey defeated Cameron in a “Dance-Off” contest. The following week on Raw, Cameron defeated Bailey in a singles match after interference from Summer Rae. The rivalry continued into July, with Cameron and Rae defeating Bailey and Natalya in a tag team match at Battleground.
Bailey’s Time on NXT
Bailey was a part of NXT for a few years and was even able to become the NXT Women’s Champion. She was a popular wrestler on the show and was able to put on some great matches. However, she was released from WWE in 2020.
Bailey’s Main Roster Run
Bailey had a short run on the main roster in WWE, debuting in 2016 and wrestling mostly on live events and house shows. She was never given a real push on television, and her last WWE match came in November 2017.
Since leaving WWE, Bailey has revealed that she was dealing with personal issues during her time with the company. She has since overcome those issues and is now wrestling on the independent circuit.
Bailey’s Release from WWE
On October 29, 2019, it was reported that Bayley had been released from WWE. The report came shortly after Bayley had teased a heel turn on Twitter. Her release was later confirmed by WWE.
Bayley started her career in NXT, where she became the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion. She then made her main roster debut in 2016 and went on to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice. She is also a two-time Raw Women’s Champion.
Bayley was one of the most popular women in WWE and her release came as a surprise to many fans. It is unclear why she was released, but it is speculated that it may have been due to backstage heat or creative differences.
