It’s been a while since we’ve seen Carlito on WWE television, and many fans are wondering what happened to him. Here’s an update on where he is and what he’s been up to.

WWE releases Carlito
On May 6, 2010, it was reported that Colón had been released from his WWE contract. The report stated that Colón’s release came at his own request.
Colón made his final WWE appearance on the May 10, 2010 episode of Raw, losing to John Cena in a steel cage match. After the match, Colón was given a “send-off” by his real-life cousin Primo, Eve Torres and Alicia Fox.
Where is Carlito now?
WWE SmackDown superstar Carlito has not been seen on WWE television for a while now. The former WWE United States Champion was last seen on SmackDown in early November when he was defeated by Roman Reigns. Carlito was then moved to WWE’s Alumni section on their website, which sparked rumors that he had been released by the company.

He made his first appearance in nearly five years on June 29, 2019, when he defeated fellow former WWE Superstar MVP at an event put on by the House of Hardcore promotion. In a recent interview with Gracia Ortega of Super Luchas (via Sescoops), former WWE Superstar Carlito opened up about the possibility of returning to WWE one day.
Carlito, who last appeared for WWE in 2010, was asked if he would ever consider returning to the promotion. He replied, “I’ve thought about it a lot, because it’s something that I really like. I miss it and I’ve been away from it for a while, so I don’t know. It’s a complicated situation, but I haven’t ruled it out.”
The 39-year-old Puerto Rican star also spoke about how his career has progressed since leaving WWE, and how he has kept busy with various projects.
“I feel good,” said Carlito. “I stay busy with different things. I have a wrestling school here in Puerto Rico, which takes up a lot of my time. I also have a YouTube channel with almost 300,000 subscribers called ‘ CarlitosWay’. And then there are other projects that keep me busy as well.”
