Lebron James has been a fan of the Dallas Cowboys since he was a kid. He even has a Cowboys star on his back.
LeBron’s love for the Cowboys
Anyone who knows LeBron James, knows that he is a diehard Cowboys fan. He’s even gone as far as to say that he would one day like to own the team. LeBron grew up in Ohio, but his favorite team has always been the Dallas Cowboys. In fact, when he was younger, he would watch every single Cowboys game.
His admiration for Jerry Jones
LeBron James has been a Dallas Cowboys fan since he was a kid. He grew up in Akron, Ohio, but his favorite team was always the Cowboys. He would wear their jerseys and watch their games on TV. In an interview with GQ, he said, “I was a Cowboys fan growing up. I loved Troy Aikman. I loved Michael Irvin. I loved Emmitt Smith.”
LeBron even has a picture of himself as a kid wearing a Cowboys jersey. He says he admires Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys. “He’s one of the smartest businessmen in sports,” LeBron told GQ. “He’s built that brand from the ground up.”
It’s no surprise that LeBron is a Cowboys fan. They are one of the most popular and successful teams in the NFL. And Jerry Jones is one of the most respected owners in all of sports.
His respect for Jason Garrett
Lebron James is no stranger to the NFL. In fact, he’s a big fan of the game. So, when asked about his favorite NFL team, it’s no surprise that he had a difficult time choosing just one.
However, after some thought, LeBron ultimately decided on the Dallas Cowboys. “I’ve always respected Jason Garrett and what he’s done with that organization,” LeBron said. “They’re always in contention.”
LeBron also praised the Cowboys’ owner, Jerry Jones, calling him a “great owner.” He added that the Cowboys have always been a “first-class” organization.
It’s clear that LeBron has a lot of respect for the Dallas Cowboys and their organization. He may not be a fan of any other team in particular, but it’s safe to say that he’s a fan of the NFL as a whole.
LeBron’s love for the Steelers
LeBron James, born and raised in Akron, Ohio, has always been a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He would often go to Steelers games with his father and wear Steelers gear when he was growing up. In an interview, LeBron even said that if he could choose any NFL team to play for, it would be the Steelers.
His admiration for Ben Roethlisberger
LeBron James is one of the most decorated and successful athletes in the world. He’s a three-time NBA champion, four-time NBA MVP, and two-time Olympic gold medalist. But despite all of his success on the basketball court, LeBron is also a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
LeBron’s love for the Steelers dates back to his childhood. Growing up in Akron, Ohio, LeBron was a huge fan of the team. He would often go to Pittsburgh to watch games and even met Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger when he was just a kid. LeBron has continued to be a vocal supporter of the team over the years, even attending games when he can.
During the 2017 NFL season, LeBron took to Twitter to show his support for the Steelers. When they won their divisional round playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs, LeBron congratulated them and said that he was “pulling for” them to win the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the Steelers lost in the AFC Championship Game that year to the eventual champion New England Patriots.
Despite their loss, it’s clear that LeBron James is still a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. And with Ben Roethlisberger set to return as their starting quarterback next season, there’s a good chance we’ll see LeBron cheering them on once again.
His respect for Mike Tomlin
LeBron James developed a strong respect for Mike Tomlin during the 2008 Olympics. Team USA was struggling in a game against Greece, and Tomlin, who was an assistant coach on the team, delivered an impassioned speech that helped turn things around.
“I remember Coach Tomlin getting on us about, you know, just playing harder,” James told reporters. “And it wasn’t no big scheme or nothing that he put in. It was just his words that he said to us that just kind of resonated with us as a team, and we went out there and we played a lot harder.”
Since then, James has been a big fan of the Steelers coach. “I love Coach Tomlin,” he said in 2010. “I think he’s one of the best coaches in our game today.”
LeBron’s love for the Patriots
LeBron James has been a huge fan of the New England Patriots since he was a kid. He even has a Patriots tattoos on his arm! In an interview with Bleacher Report, he said that he loves the Patriots because they always find a way to win.
His admiration for Bill Belichick
LeBron James has made it no secret that he is a fan of the New England Patriots. He has even referred to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick as the “GOAT” (greatest of all time).
In an interview with GQ magazine, James spoke about his admiration for Belichick and the Patriots organization:
“The way they carry themselves, the way they win games, the way they prepare for games. I mean, that’s a well-oiled machine right there,” James said. “And obviously Tom Brady being the GOAT at quarterback. That’s something that I admire and something that I definitely take notes from.”
While many people might find it surprising that LeBron is a Patriots fan (given that he plays for the Cleveland Browns), it’s actually not that uncommon for NFL players to be fans of other teams. In fact, plenty of NFL players have admitted to being fans of the Patriots, even if they don’t play for them.
His respect for Tom Brady
In an interview with Bleacher Report, LeBron James spoke about his respect for New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, saying that he is the “greatest quarterback of all time.”
“I’ve always respected Tom Brady,” James said. “I’ve always watched him from afar and just the way he’s able to handle himself, on and off the field, with such grace and class and elegance.”
James went on to say that Brady is a “true pro’s pro” and that he has “a lot of respect” for the way he plays the game.
