The “Big Four” are the four main annual WWE events. They are WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble. These events are considered the most important WWE events of the year, and each one has its own unique history and significance.

The next Pay-Per-View

1) The Road to WrestleMania Just Got a Whole Lot More treacherous

At the start of the night, it looked like Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar were on a collision course for WrestleMania. That all changed when Braun Strowman interference in their match, costing Lesnar the victory. It’s now official: Reigns will face Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania, but he’ll have to go through Strowman first.

2) Charlotte Flair is back on track

After weeks of build-up, Charlotte Flair finally got her hands on Ruby Riott. The Queen was in control for most of the match and picked up the win after hitting Riott with Natural Selection. With her win at Fastlane, Charlotte is now back on track for a showdown with Asuka at WrestleMania.

3) Shinsuke Nakamura is still on course for AJ Styles

In what was arguably the match of the night, Shinsuke Nakamura once again emerged victorious against AJ Styles. The two superstars put on an absolute clinic, and Nakamura came out on top after hitting Styles with a low blow followed by a Kinshasa. Nakamura is now one step closer to facing Styles for the WWE Championship at Wrestle Mania.

4) Kevin Owens is headed to WrestleMania… as a tag team champion?

Despite being suspended by WWE earlier in the night, Kevin Owens still managed to make his presence felt at Fastlane. Owens interference in the tag team championship match cost his former allies, New Day, the titles. Owens is now technically a champion, but it remains to be seen how long his reign will last. Nonetheless, it looks like Owens will be heading to WrestleMania as a tag team champion.

5) The Miz is still United States Champion…for now

The Miz successfully defended his United States Championship against Finn Balor at Fastlane, but he may not be holding onto the title for much longer. After the match, it was announced that The Miz will face Balor once again at WWE’s next pay-per-view, Elimination Chamber.
