Like any other sport, the National Basketball Association has a few teams that bring up the rear. These are the squads that languish at the bottom of the standings year after year, and they typically don’t have much hope for the future. In this article, we’ll take a look at the worst NBA teams of all time.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers are an American professional basketball team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cavaliers compete in the National Basketball Association as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Central Division. The team began play as an expansion team in 1970, along with the Portland Trail Blazers and Buffalo Braves. Home games were first held at Cleveland Arena from 1970 to 1974, followed by the Richfield Coliseum from 1974 to 1994. Since 1994, the Cavs have played their home games at Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland, which is shared with the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League. Dan Gilbert has owned the team since March 2005.

The Cavaliers began play during the 1970–71 NBA season under head coach Bill Fitch, a former guard/forward who served as an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics. Despite losing their first 15 games and finishing last in their division (and second-to-last in the league), they qualified for that year’s Eastern Conference playoffs by virtue of a higher won-loss percentage than any other playoff-eligible team in their conference that did not make it. Acquire a star player

The worst NBA team needs to do is acquire a star player. A star player is the best player on the team and usually the face of the franchise. He or she is the one who scores the most points, grabs the most rebounds, and plays the best defense. A star player can make an impact on both ends of the court and is worth their weight in gold. Stay healthy

All three of these teams would be significantly better if they could just stay healthy for a few weeks. Porzingis is a potential All-Star, Bledsoe is one of the best point guards in the league, and Love is a versatile offensive weapon. If any of these players miss significant time again this season, it will be very difficult for their team to make a push for the playoffs.

Fire the coach

The Minnesota Timberwolves, Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls all have several things in common. They’re all underperforming, they all have coaches on the hot seat and they all need to make a change.

It’s early in the season, but it’s not too early to make a change if it’s going to help your team turn things around. All three of these teams need to fire their coach and bring in someone new to try and turn things around.

The Timberwolves are currently 3-9, which is the worst record in the Western Conference. They’ve lost seven games in a row, and their last win came against the lowly New York Knicks. Thibodeau is clearly not getting the most out of his team, and it’s time for a change.

The Hornets are also struggling, with a 4-8 record that puts them at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. They’ve lost four games in a row, and their only wins have come against teams that are also struggling (the Knicks, Grizzlies and Suns). Steve Clifford is on the hot seat, and it’s time for him to be replaced.

Finally, there’s the Bulls. They’re just 5-7, but that’s good enough for fourth place in the weak Eastern Conference. However, they’re just 1-5 in their last six games, with losses to some of the bottom-dwellers in the league (the Nets, Magic and Mavericks). Fred Hoiberg is clearly not getting the job done, so it’s time for him to go as well.
