WWE Universal Championship Match
WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins will defend his title against Baron Corbin in a Steel Cage Match at WWE Stomping Grounds.
The Architect has made it clear that he will do whatever it takes to keep The Beast Slayer from holding his beloved Universal Championship, and he’ll get that opportunity in Tacoma, Wash., when the two former Shield Brothers face off in the first-ever Steel Cage Match for the title.
Corbin has also upped the ante, announcing that if Rollins loses the match, he will be forced to wear a dress during Raw. The Show of Shows will never be the same!
WWE Championship Match
WWE Champion Kofi Kingston will defend his title against Dolph Ziggler in a Steel Cage Match.
WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match
WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Lacey Evans
WWE Stomping Grounds will see WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch put her title on the line against former United States Champion Lacey Evans.
This will be the first one-on-one meeting between The Man and The Lady of WWE, though the two have crossed paths on a number of occasions. This match was made official on the May 27 episode of Monday Night Raw, moments after Lynch thwarted Evans’ attempt to cash in her Money in the Bank contract.
WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
The WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship will be on the line at WWE Stomping Grounds, as Bayley will put her title on the line against Alexa Bliss.
This will be a rematch from last month’s WWE Money in the Bank event, where Bayley captured the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the second time in her career.
Bliss has been on a role as of late, winning the Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35 to become the new Miss Money in the Bank. She then cashed in her briefcase last month to capture the Raw Women’s Championship for the fifth time in her career.
Now, Bliss will look to add the SmackDown Women’s Championship to her collection at WWE Stomping Grounds.
WWE Stomping Grounds Predictions
WWE Stomping Grounds is a new Pay-Per-View event that will be taking place on June 23, 2019. This event will be taking place in Tacoma, Washington at the Tacoma Dome. The main event will be a steel cage match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre for the WWE Universal Championship. Thed event will also feature a WWE Championship match between Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler.
WWE Universal Championship Match
This Sunday at WWE Stomping Grounds, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt will put his newly-won Universal Championship on the line against Seth Rollins. It will be a rematch of their brutal battle from WWE Super ShowDown, which saw The Fiend come out on top after nailing Rollins with Sister Abigail for the three-count.
While it remains to be seen how WWE will book this rematch, one has to think that Rollins will regain his title this Sunday. After all, he is “The Beastslayer,” and he proved at Super ShowDown that he can go toe-to-toe with The Fiend. It would also make sense from a storytelling standpoint, as Rollins needs to get his revenge on The Fiend for costing him the Universal Championship in the first place.
With that being said, don’t be surprised if WWE throws a curveball and has The Fiend retain his title this Sunday. Doing so would allow WWE to keep the Universal Championship on Bray Wyatt while also giving Seth Rollins something to continue chasing after.
WWE Championship Match
The WWE Championship will be on the line at WWE Stomping Grounds, as Kofi Kingston puts his title on the line against Dolph Ziggler in a steel cage match. This will be a rematch from their bout at Super ShowDown, which saw Kingston come out on top after hitting Trouble in Paradise.
With WWE Stomping Grounds taking place in Tacoma, Washington, Kingston will have the home-state advantage in this one. The WWE Universe in attendance will be firmly behind The New Day member, and that could play a factor in the outcome of this match.
As for Ziggler, he will be looking to regain the WWE Championship for the first time since he won it back at Extreme Rules 2016. The Showoff has been on a roll as of late, and he will be looking to continue that momentum with a win at WWE Stomping Grounds.
Prediction: Kofi Kingston
WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match
The WWE Raw Women’s Championship will be on the line at WWE Stomping Grounds, as Becky Lynch puts her title on the line against Lacey Evans.
This is a rematch from their WrestleMania 35 encounter, which saw Lynch come out victorious. In the months since, Lynch has continued to reign supreme as champion, while Evans has slowly been rebuilding her momentum after a losing streak.
Prediction: Becky Lynch
It’s hard to see Evans winning this one, given that she just doesn’t seem to be on the same level as Lynch at the moment. Lynch is one of the hottest stars in WWE right now, and it doesn’t seem like there’s any reason for her to lose the title just yet.
WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
In what is sure to be an epic showdown, Bayley will put her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against longtime rival Sasha Banks. The two former friends have been at odds ever since Bayley turned on Banks during their match at WrestleMania 35, and they have been engaged in a heated rivalry ever since.
While Bayley has emerged as the victor in their previous two encounters, there is no doubt that Banks will be looking to even the score at Stomping Grounds. With the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line, this match is sure to be one of the most anticipated on the card.
