Contents
It’s time for the NBA Playoffs and we’ve got a full slate of games on tap for tonight. Here’s a look at what’s on tap.
Eastern Conference
Tonight, the Eastern Conference Finals continue with game three. The Milwaukee Bucks are up two games against the Toronto Raptors. At 8:30 PM EST, the Bucks will look to take a commanding lead in the series. On the other side, the Raptors will be fighting for their lives.
Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers
The second-seeded Celtics will take on the third-seeded 76ers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Celtics are coming off a tough seven-game series against the Milwaukee Bucks, while the Sixers had a much easier time dispatching the Miami Heat in five games.
This will be the first meeting between these two teams in the playoffs since 2012, when the Celtics won in seven games. The Sixers will be looking for revenge, but the Celtics have home-court advantage and are a slight favorite to win the series.
Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Toronto Raptors are in Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers tonight in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. The Raptors are the top seed in the conference, while the Cavaliers are the eighth seed.
The Raptors have been one of the best teams in the NBA all season long, led by All-Star guard Kyle Lowry. They finished with a 59-23 record, good for first place in the conference. The Cavaliers, on the other hand, struggled for much of the season and only managed to squeak into the playoffs with a 48-34 record.
This is going to be a tough series for the Raptors, as the Cavaliers always seem to step up their game in the playoffs. LeBron James is one of the best players in history and he always finds a way to will his team to victory. The Raptors will need to be at their best if they want to win this series.
The game is set to tip-off at 7:00 PM EST and can be seen on ESPN.
Western Conference
The NBA playoffs are in full swing and there are some great games on tonight. In the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers are taking on the Houston Rockets. This should be a great game as both teams arefilled with superstars. The Lakers are led by LeBron James, while the Rockets have James Harden.
Houston Rockets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Houston Rockets take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs. The Rockets are the top seed in the conference, while the Timberwolves are the eighth seed. The Rockets have home-court advantage in the series, and they will host Games 1, 2, 5 and 7 at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. The Timbers will host Games 3, 4 and 6 at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN.
Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs
The Warriors will look to stay alive in the Western Conference finals when they host the Spurs in Game 5 on Tuesday night. After dropping the first two games of the series at home, Golden State bounced back with a 120-108 victory in San Antonio on Sunday. The Warriors were led by Kevin Durant, who scored 33 points, and Stephen Curry, who added 22.
The Spurs will be without star forward Kawhi Leonard for Game 5 as he continues to recover from a left ankle injury. Leonard missed Games 3 and 4 after aggravating the injury in Game 1. Without Leonard, the Spurs have struggled to score against the Warriors’ stout defense. In Sunday’s loss, San Antonio was held to just 108 points, its lowest point total of the series.
The Warriors are 7-1 at home this postseason, while the Spurs are just 2-5 on the road.
