What NBA Playoff Games Come On Tonight?
Contents
The 2020 NBA Playoffs continue tonight with two more game sevens.
The first game on the schedule is the Eastern Conference Semifinal between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat. The second game is the Western Conference Semifinal between the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Eastern Conference
Tonight, the Eastern Conference Finals begin with the Milwaukee Bucks taking on the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors are looking to continue their Cinderella story while the Bucks are trying to prove that they are the best team in the NBA.
Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks will face off in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight. The Celtics are coming off a series win against the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Bucks swept the Detroit Pistons in the previous round. This will be the first time these two teams have met in the playoffs since 1983, when the Celtics won in seven games.
Given that both teams are evenly matched, this series is expected to be a close one. Games 1 and 2 will be played in Milwaukee, before the series shifts to Boston for Games 3 and 4. If necessary, Game 5 will be back in Milwaukee, with Game 6 and 7 taking place in Boston.
Tip-off for game one is scheduled for 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers
The Toronto Raptors are in second place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 48-34. The Philadelphia 76ers are in third place in the conference with a 46-36 record. The Raptors have won four out of their last five games, while the Sixers have won three out of their last five. The Raptors are averaging 113.5 points per game, while the Sixers are averaging 109.3 points per game. The Sixers are allowing 106.4 points per game, while the Raptors are allowing 105.6 points per game. The Sixers have lost two out of three games against the Raptors this season.
Western Conference
The Golden State Warriors will take on the Houston Rockets in the first game of the night. This will be a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals, which the Warriors won in seven games. The Warriors are the favorites to win again this year, but the Rockets will be looking to prove that they can compete with the best.
Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets
The Western Conference Finals matchup is set, as the Houston Rockets knocked off the Utah Jazz in Game 5 on Tuesday night to advance. The Golden State Warriors await, as they swept the New Orleans Pelicans in the second round. The Warriors have had a week off since their series win, while the Rockets have played five games in the last eight days.
The Rockets are led by MVP candidate James Harden, who is averaging 30.4 points and 8.8 assists per game in the playoffs. He is shooting 44.2 percent from three-point range in the postseason. Houston also has Chris Paul back healthy, as he missed most of the second round series with a hamstring injury. Paul averaged 18 points and 7.8 assists per game in the regular season, and he gives the Rockets another All-Star caliber player to pair with Harden.
The Warriors are obviously led by Kevin Durant, who is averaging 28 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in the playoffs. He is also shooting 51 percent from three-point range in the postseason. Durant will likely win Finals MVP if Golden State is able to win it all again this year. Steph Curry is still one of the best players in the world, as he is averaging 24 points and 6 assists per game in the playoffs while shooting 41 percent from three-point range
Portland Trail Blazers vs. Denver Nuggets
The Portland Trail Blazers, led by guard Damian Lillard, meet the Denver Nuggets, in Game 5 of their best of seven Western Conference Semifinal playoff series, on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 (5/14/19) at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
The winner of this series will advance to play the winner of the Houston Rockets-Golden State Warriors matchup in the Western Conference Finals.
